Despite the multitude of film projects this year, Tôn Thất An has found time to write the music for a new short film by Indonesian director Rein Maychaelson, entitled Sammi, who can detach his body parts. The two met and befriended each other last year at the Busan Film Festival, when Rein Maychaelson presented his short film The Rootless Bloom, and the composer came with Myanmar director Sein Lyan Tun with Everybody’s gotta love sometimes – both films were competing in the “Short Film” category.

The unique screenplay of Sammi immediately appealed to Tôn Thất An who began recording some of the music while he was in Paris, one month even before the shooting began!

Now the film has reached its post-production phase.
