Physical release of Taiwanese singer-songwriter Leaf Yeh 葉穎 new album《遷徙Migration》is on 11/11/24!
Tôn Thất An produced and arranged two of the twelve songs: May I ask 借問 and Snowflakes 雪花.

“Collaboration with Leaf Yeh was pure pleasure as she is very intuitive and full of imagination. I had listened to her previous work and could immediately connect to her sonic universe as well as her sensitivity and musicality.
She sent me the melodies of two songs and left me free to do the rest. I didn’t understand the words (one song was in Hakka, the other in Japanese!) although she roughly told me what she was singing about and so, I just followed the creative flow. She was very surprised and also not surprised when she heard what I had done. In our conversation, we would usually feel and guess a lot from each other. It’s always like being in a state of trance when I am working on a song. The melodies, the voice, the instruments all the musical phrases keep whirling in my head day and night!
The album producer, 黃少雍 Yong said he really enjoyed the cinematic feel of the two songs and barely had to change anything in the mixing, adding (to my greatest surprise) that they served as a sonic base for the rest of the album.“
