On November 26th, 2016 was held the second edition of [FEEL] in/out – memory x movements, a art event presented by the French Institute and co-directed by An Tôn-Thất and French choreographer Sébastien Ly.
As the title suggests, this year’s theme was memory, personal as well as sensorial. For this, the French Institute opened the doors of the former Ecole Colette in the 3rd district of Saigon.
Artists from various field, dance, fine arts, film, photography, installation art and of course music were gathered for the event: members from the Arabesque Dance Group, the HCMC Opera Ballet, the HCMC School of Dance, photography by Bao Zuan (VN), HoHo Lin (Taiwan), paintings by Trần Nguyễn Trung Tín, Trong Gia Nguyen (VN), Bão Vương and Florian Nguyen (France), short films by Stéphane Ly Cuong, Marie-Christine Courtès (France) and Ronalds Mezmacs (Latvia), art installations by Choncy Shu and Sean Wong Gaffney (USA), as well as films and stage works by An Tôn-Thất and Sébastien Ly.
The aim of the project is to find an alternative way to show art to the audience, and bring it into people’s life.
Despite the absence of any promotion and advertisement, the evening attracted up to 500 people in this old school.
