
Burmese director Sein Lyan Tun‘s new short film မျောတလွင့်လွင့် (Everybody’s gotta learn sometimes) will be in competition at the forthcoming Busan International Film Festival!
The short film, with a score by Tôn Thất An in collaboration with French composer Delphine Malaussena (Jean-Baptiste Durand’s Chien de la casse, Quentin Reynaud’s En plein feu, Shane Atkinson’s Laroy) tells about Phyo, a young Burmese artists who has just arrived in Paris and tries to adjust to a life in this foreign country, and most of all, find love, despite deep trauma and emotional wounds that make it difficult for him to engage with people.
