Rein Maychaelson‘s new short film Sammy, who can detach his Body Parts has been been selected to be in competition at the upcoming 75th Berlin Film Festival, in the ‘short film’ category.
This fantasy drama centers on Sammi (Jefri Nichol), a young man who has this unique gift of giving parts of his body to those he loves and wants to help. After his passing his mother (Nai Djenar Maesa Ayu) goes in search for the pieces of her son in order to give him a proper burial.

Dates and screening schedules of all films will be announced on February 4th, 2025.
