Tôn Thất An has just completed the score for a new Vietnamese, the second opus by the director of The third Wife, the third opus, if we count the Between Shadow and Soul , its black-and-white/silent reworking.

Recording sessions took place between Taipei and Tokyo, where the Vietnamese composer with members of the NHK Symphony Orchestra at the Red Bull Studio. Tôn Thất An also collaborated with Macau-based Japanese guitarist-composer Akitsugu Fukushima (composer of May you stay forever young 少年 (2021) by Lam Sum and Ren Xia).

On top of the score, Tôn Thất An has written, produced and performed four original songs for the film.

Sound mixing will take place in France in February and the film will hopefully be ready for submission for this year’s Cannes Festival.
